Iโ€™m finally glad you found us again brother! Sincerely your pen pal and dmtworld research family. I miss doing mycology so much that Iโ€™m counting down the days it will take for the weather to cool down. Right now Iโ€™m germinating seeds and making it happen.

Glad to be back! So much has changed in my mycology joureny, looking forward to share some about.

@chernobylmyco I can imagine brother, we have big fluctuations in temperature here in the Netherlands aswell, i moved in with my girl 2 years ago and here i have a small room from 3 x 3 meter dedicaded to the mushies and plants and in there its easy to maintain a good climate with a heater and aircon ๐Ÿ‘

Lucky you have aircon! I donโ€™t lol my home is an older one. But for work space I only have the garage to do my work and my room to have everything grow. Itโ€™s perfect plant weather for me, but not good mycology weather at the moment.

I live in this old pre war dairy factory from 1937 which has been converted into apartments so it is old aswell but i bought one of those mobile aircon units. It cost only 200 euro's and its good enough to keep my small 3 x 3 meter grow room at the right temperature during summer, although it was struggling a bit during this years heat wave. When does your mycology season start?

My season wonโ€™t start not until later October early November once the temp drops to where I can easily work in my lab space. Have to pour Agar and canโ€™t be sweating while pouring in front of flow hood lol. Though now I understand how seasons work for me if I was to do it all again I would batch prep ALOT of Agar before the summer season would hit and transfer all active plates to cold storage. For the most part I got to start up again but thatโ€™s ok since the excitement of researching again continues! I still have a lot of samples I havenโ€™t worked on yet so it will be an adventure figuring it out.

Yeah sometimes you gotta be tactical about when to do stuff, last couple of years ive been using winter time to run my soxhlet extractor in the basement where it gets cold so i dont have to keep the cooling water cool manually ๐Ÿ˜Š
