Things I have learned about growing plants of all types. Step 1 germinate seeds on a paper towel in a plastic bag, Step 2 cut the paper towel and transfer sprouts to seedling pods with soil of choice. Fox farm soil ideally, once grown transfer to 16oz red cups with soil. The pod decomposes into the cup and you’ll have the perfect transfer to 5 gallon Walmart reusable bags or any other smart pot style grow bag. For the the Walmart grow bag I do just standard quality potting soil since I’ll be feeding it compost, rabbit manure and steer manure I have. Alongside the comfrey as well! My goal is to get as many plants started during this hot spell that by spring or so I’ll have a big harvest from these autos. Living in SoCals best climate I can grow them year long outside. I don’t need grow lights and nothing else. All I use was decomposing seedling trays with ocean forest alongside transferring those pods to the 16oz red cups while giving it good water gets the roots developed that you don’t need expensive soil for the bigger containers. Feed the plant and have your organic fertilizers ready. Water from my experience from the tap has worked just fine for my plants! What’s nice is not having to do any sterile work, just germinate, transplant and then transfer again to the appropriate size of container. I got a feeling a good harvest will be coming my way.
